Ep 48 – On Bold Thinking and How to Launch a Satellite into Space – with Aki Saarinen

aki saarinen

Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Sensor network, Synthetic biology, 3D printing are all exponentional technologies that, according to Peter Diamandis, the founder of the X Prize, will change the world as we know it. And how about the conquest of space?

What was before a monopoly of the states is now opening to private companies. It is now possible for less than a million dollar to launch a satellite in orbit around the earth. While still we are still at the beginning of this new era, applications already seem endless.

To talk about it, I had the chance to sit with Aki Saarinen, Parnter at Reaktor, a creative technology house from Finland. Aki was discussing with me about Reaktor’s latest inhouse project called Reaktor Space, about to launch their first commercial satellite in the Fall of 2016.

Aki also shares his views on how Artificial Intelligence will change the economy, for the better, and why we should not worry to much about having robots stealing our jobs. A great conversation about the future happening today.

Questions: What technology will change the world as we know it? Should we fear technology? (reply in the comments)
